Host an Event at Grounded – Application Form

Thank you for considering Grounded as the home for your event. It means a lot to us that you’re interested in using our space to bring people together. Whether you’re hosting a workshop, support group, movement class, casual hangout, or something we haven’t even thought of yet—we’d love to be part of it.

Our application form is VERY intensive because we want to ensure our partnership works for everyone involved. The details we are asking for will help us better customize the space to meet your needs.

AND if filling out this form feels overwhelming, or if you need support in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to chat and find a way to make this process easier.

You can email us at hello@theoneinfiveproject.com, and we’ll figure it out together.

Benefits of Hosting at Grounded

We’ve put a lot of care into making Grounded a welcoming and flexible space, and we want you to feel at home here.

  • A Space That Works for You: Our shared space is designed to adapt—whether you need a quiet place for reflection or an open layout for movement.

  • A Supportive Community: People come to Grounded for meaningful experiences, and we’re excited to help you connect with them.

  • Affordable & Accessible: Rental is $40/hour (minimum 2 hours), with additional options available if you need more flexibility.

  • Easy-to-Reach Location: We’re right in Historic Downtown Bowmanville, at 33 King St E. (just beside Norm's!) making it simple for people to find and join your event. There is plenty of parking available across the street.

  • Opportunities for Ongoing Events: If you’re looking to host a recurring class, series, or ongoing meetup, we’d love to explore a longer-term partnership.

Promoting Your Event

We want your event to be successful, and while we’re here to support your promotion efforts, securing participants is your responsibility. We will do our part to help spread the word, but Grounded is not responsible for filling your event.

As part of our support, your event will be:

✔️ Listed on our in-person & digital event calendar (available on our website).

✔️ Promoted to our 1,000+ email subscribers and social media followers.

✔️ Included in our member newsletter to our growing community.

✔️ Boosted on social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).

Certification, Insurance & Safety Requirements

At Grounded, we want to ensure a safe and professional experience for everyone who attends events in our space. If your event falls under any of the following categories, additional documentation is required:

  • If your class requires certification (e.g., yoga, first aid training, therapy-led support groups), you must upload proof of certification or email it to us at hello@theoneinfiveproject.com at the time of booking.

  • If your workshop involves children, a valid police background check is required before your event is confirmed.

  • All events must have their own insurance coverage. If you need support finding the right coverage, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.

Agreement & Next Steps

By submitting this form, you’re letting us know you’d like to use our space. Here’s what happens next:

  • We’ll review your application and get back to you as soon as we can.

  • If everything lines up, we’ll confirm a date and help with any next steps.

  • Rental is $40/hour (minimum 2 hours), and payment will be due before your event (unless otherwise discussed)

  • If you’re managing ticket sales yourself, you agree to keep attendance to 12 people or fewer for in-person events so the space stays comfortable for everyone.

  • I will provide the appropriate documentation (if required) at time of booking.
